Our mission is simple: Empower one million kids (and their grown-ups) by February 19, 2027.

Provide My Friend the Boulder books to pediatric hospitals, nonprofits, and schools that serve children with disabilities or limited resources.

Live Readings to Inspire Resilience
Help us travel to schools, hospitals, or nonprofits outside our immediate market to deliver live readings and empowerment sessions. These visits help kids embrace inclusion and see their differences as strengths.

Special Project Partner: Variable

In case you haven’t noticed (wink!) Schuyler and Meridith never run out of fun, creative ideas. Whether it’s creating products such as colorful drink tumblers featuring the My Friend the Valley gang or sparkly ROAR lockets, the sky isn’t even the limit when it comes to creating ways to help our sponsors stand out WHILE you are helping us achieve our mission.

These ladies are also open to ideas relating to special appearances ranging from keynote talks, team trainings to optimal performance coaching. The investment for these projects would be assessed on a case by case basis and can easily be incorporated into one of the other levels of sponsorship, if desired.

Combine your sponsorship dollars with leadership training for your teams

When not combining forces with her amazing daughter Schuyler, Meridith is known for her executive partnerships and leadership trainings. While there are many leadership training options available for your teams, most skew almost entirely toward theories and processes without giving your individual leaders the inner game tools to actually implement them.

For select sponsors, partnership with One Million Boulder Futures can extend beyond financial support to include access to Meridith’s signature Sovereign Leadership Method™—an executive partnership framework designed for leaders navigating complexity, sustained pressure, and consequential change. Sponsorship may be structured as a monthly investment or a time‑bound commitment and can integrate executive coaching, leadership team engagements, or facilitated experiences grounded in this framework.

Rather than separating social impact from leadership development, this approach allows organizations to strengthen the inner conditions that make principled, steady leadership possible—while simultaneously advancing a mission rooted in resilience, adaptability, and human potential.

Not Ready for a Full Sponsorship? Every Dollar Makes a Difference!

We understand that not everyone is ready for a major sponsorship, and that’s okay! Smaller contributions can still create a huge impact and help us bring our mission to life.

Here are other ways to make a difference:

$100: Provides copies of My Friend the Boulder to children in hospitals or underserved communities.
$250: Helps cover travel expenses so we can reach more schools and communities.
$500: Contributes to the creation of our Boxes of Boulder Treasures and brings joy to a child in need.
DESIGN YOUR OWN BOULDER ADVENTURE: Yes! We welcome you into this Initiative at whatever level feels right for YOU! Program Overview:

The One Million Boulder Futures Initiative is a national, culture‑shaping initiative designed to help children, families, and communities develop the inner resilience required to navigate an increasingly complex world.

Created under the auspices of Removing the Barriers, the Initiative is deeply grounded in the lived experiences of the disability community—while intentionally recognizing a broader, unifying truth: disability is one expression of adversity, but not the only one. Every individual and every community encounters “boulders”—whether physical, cognitive, emotional, social, or circumstantial. Some are visible. Many are not. All shape how people see themselves, others, and their futures.

At the heart of the Initiative is the My Friend the Boulder children’s book series, supported by live and customized readings, interactive performances, and community‑based programming. Together, these offerings remove emotional and social barriers by centering dignity, resilience, joy, and possibility. They equip children—and the adults who support them—with practical inner tools to navigate life’s inevitable challenges, build confidence and empathy, and develop a lasting sense of agency.
