Remembering to live every day like it’s your bucket list can lead to massive results in all aspects of your life. It’s the antidote to doubt, to fear, to many things that threaten to hold us back.
For me, part of my bucket list life is savoring every moment of my parenthood experience. Today, I celebrate my son Linden R. Arakawa who “blissified” my entire day by sharing that the Tampa Bay Business Journal selected him as one of Tampa Bay’s Top 40 Under 40. https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2018/08/20/from-bankers-to-doctors-and-everything-in-between.html
To watch this amazing child evolve into this amazing youngster and then into a phenomenal young man and then into a vibrant, innovative, wise-beyond-his-years 30 year old — well, let’s just say that nothing that I could have dreamed for or hoped for would have prepared me for the greatness of seeing him evolve.
There is magic all around us. We have the choice to dive into it and to let its waves of energy whip us around a bit. Sometimes it can be scary. Sometimes it can hurt. And yet, if we allow that magic to bring us fully into the moment, we truly learn how to live the definition of bliss.
And when we live our own version of bliss, no life can be too short. No life can feel unfulfilled. None of our greatness can be captured, contained or compromised. Our gift is the ability to adapt not to predict.
So thank you world for bringing me this moment as a mom that although I might have predicted, I never dreamed for a moment just how infinitely rich these moments would feel! Congratulations to my amazing son!
