As a little gift from the Universe in the last moments before it’s officially a new birthday year for me, this wonderful podcast Over the Edge where I was interviewed by Sue Ashby went live.

The message here is truly that life does indeed demand at times that we become the reluctant hero in our story. We face obstacles, terrors, monsters — and sometimes literally boulders.

And yet it is in these moments of “certain defeat” that we once again find that we have a fire. It’s a fire that cannot be contained, captured or ever taken away from us. It’s a fire that cries out that we are mightier than these things that would see us permanently scarred.

And it is the flames of this fire that allows us to rise from the ashes like the Phoenix to look at ourselves with new eyes, to see our life from a new perspective and to evolve into the person that we have always dreamed that we could become.

The sky truly IS the limit and the beauty of our lives truly begin to unfold when we risk allowing the flames to burn us, when we truly rise up and embrace those mighty boulders.
