Schuyler and my race to Miami this week was a whirlwind. You could practically feel the gale force winds at our back. The drive on Sunday was blissful adventure that began by crossing over the glorious Sunshine Skyway. A mere six months ago, I would not have been able to drive that route. I would have opted to drive an additional 20 minutes via I-75 to avoid those extreme heights. Ten years ago, my anxiety would have prevented me from even getting on a low, flat highway! My how life can change!

These days, by persistently facing my fears, I have discovered that “my” fear of heights was simply a cloak that I had taken on decades ago. It was not me. It was not “just the way that I was wired”. It was a habit of thinking that I took ownership of.  Once I was “wearing it”, I assumed that I could never remove it. Well, dear vertigo, consider this cloak removed! With Afrojack pumping over the radio, Schuyler and I bumped and bounced our way over the Sunshine! I can honestly say that it was a blast. Actually exhilarating! To be free from that demon was beyond liberating! Two phobias: gone! Life is definitely SWEET!

A few hours and a few thunderstorms later and we arrived at our favorite hotel in Miami! They had a surprise waiting for us! It pays to share your sparkle, dear ones! Goodies do come raining back down like confetti!
