IT’S A MANDATORY “TAKE A MOMENT TO PLAY WITH YOUR INNER CHILD” MOMENT…

Today is “Smile at the Pigeons and the Squirrels” Day! Yes, take a moment today to step outside, throw those arms wide and smile at those pigeons and those squirrels! You might be surprised– some of them just might smile back in their oh-so-glorious pigeon and squirrel way!

And once a pigeon or squirrel has taken a moment to smile at YOU, you might just find yourself feeling more inclined to smile at some of those nutty humans out there! But watch out– you will definitely find that smiling is contagious and can create the urge to dance uncontrollably even (gasp) “in public”!

Today, as you move from mindfulness to “full blown” In-Joy-fullness, pick 5 minutes to indulge in doing something that for you would be considered “outrageous”. For some of you, that might mean actually striking up a conversation with the person stocking the produce in your favorite market. For others, it might mean reaching out that one “bucket list” client. Whatever feels a bit “outrageous”, take it by the lovely glittery horns and make it your own!

Take a Few Moments to Be Outrageous and Feed that Inner Child!

Then CELEBRATE! Take a moment to find a mirror, declare the following:

[Your name], THAT felt “freakin” AWESOME! We are going to do more of that! From now on, we are going let ourselves off the hook and enjoy being EXACTLY who we are. I PROMISE YOU, YOU ARE GOING TO BE AMAZED AT WHAT WE WILL NOW ACHIEVE! There is no one else quite like me and that is sooooo cool!!

And don’t forget to pamper those lovely cells that work so hard to keep your body “flowing”! Although we do love our wine and cheesecake, what sends our cells to paradise typically has to do with those divinely green leafy vegs like spinach, kale and arugula. 

One of our favorite ways to indulge in these greens is in one of favorite smoothie recipes…

“The Smile at a Squirrel Smoothie”

2 Small Bananas

1.5 Cups Fresh Leafy Greens (Spinach or Kale or a combo)

1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)

1 cup mixed fresh fruit (can include melons, peaches, pineapple, cherries and/or berries)

1/2 avocado (optional for creamier texture) 

1/3 cup Protein Powder

1 packet Axio Energy powder (optional)

1 18-ounce Bottle Bai Juice

Additional water as needed to fill liquid level within 1 inch of top of blender.

Mix all ingredients in a full size blender. Blend on high until fully liquified.

Savor and enjoy! “Left-over” smoothie can be put back into the empty Bai bottle and frozen. Just leave an air pocket at the top of the bottle to accommodate any expansion when frozen.
